Steps to Teach Listening How to Express Satisfaction/Dissatisfaction

LESSON PLAN

Aims:
By the end of the lesson, students will be better able to identify the expression of satisfaction and dissatisfaction in the context of travelling.

Procedure:

PRE ACTIVITIES
1. Warming up: bring some pictures of tourist destination and play guessing game.
2. Leading questions: give students leading questions. Give them time to answer in five minutes. Ask them to answer orally or read their answers. (See task 1)
3. Ask students to identify the expression of satisfaction and dissatisfaction from the list. (See task 2)

MAIN ACTIVITIES
1. Divide students into group of four or in pair.
2. Play the recording once. Ask them to identify the place where people have spent the vacation. (See task 3).
3. Check the answers through the class.
4. Play the recording once again. Ask them to identify the people's feeling about their vacation. (See task 4).
5. Check the answer through the class.
6. Play the recording twice. Ask them to identify what makes people satisfied or dissatisfied about the vacation. (See task 5).
7. Check the answers through the class.

POST ACTIVITIES
1. Ask students to tell about their last vacation in written text. (See task 6).
2. Ask students to interview their partner and report to the class.
3. Conclude the lesson.
