How to express proposing? Proposing means to suggest someone to do something. The suggestion told is something positive. To express proposing we may use several expressions. Look at the example!

We may begin our suggestions to someone by saying them first. If we want to suggest keep clean the classroom, we can say "I propose that we make a cleaning shift" or "Let's make a schedule of cleaning".

The following is an example of dialogue how to express proposing.

Donna: John, do you know what time it is?
John: I'm sory I don't bring my watch.
Donna: Me too. I don't exactly what time it is.
John: Why isn't there any clock in the classroom?
Donna: Yea, I think it's better to have a clock in the classroom.
John: I propose that we tell our class leader to collect money from the students and buy a clock.
Donna: It's a great idea.
