Cerita versi Bahasa Indonesia.
Jarak Jember Karangasem hampir 300 km.
Hari Sabtu pagi saya berangkat sekitar jam 6 pagi.
Hampir 4 jam saya berkendara hingga mencapai pelabuhan Ketapang. Disana saya naik kapal Ferry menuju ke pelabuhan Gilimanuk Bali.
Saya antri untuk membayar tiket kapal Ferry. Harga tiket cukup murah. Hanya Rp 20.000 ke pelabuhan Gilimanuk.
Kapal berangkat perlahan.
Saya kembali memacu motor membelah jalanan propinsi Bali. Jalan panjang menuju kota Denpasar.
Setelah tenaga pulih, perjalanan dilanjutkan.
Hanya beberapa perempatan beberapa kali berhenti.
Jalan menuju Karangasem melalui gunung. Hampir mirip dengan di Gumitir Banyuwangi. Jalannya berliku naik turun.
Pemandangan indah sekali. Saya terkesan dengan semuanya.

In 2012 I went to Bali. I didn't go enjoying holiday but I would get Civil Servant Test in Karangasem Bali.
Karangasem is located in the very end of Bali island. The region is near Mount Agung and an harbour to Lombok.
I went to Karangasem by motorcycle. I had to ride around 300 km far.
It was Saturday morning when I left Jember. It was still fresh and cold when I passed Gumitir mountain with the winding road.
It took 4 hours to reach Ketapang harbour. I took Ferry to cross Bali strait to Gilimanuk harbour.
I stood in line for a while to buy a ticket. I spent 20 thousand rupiahs for the ticket.
The ferry sailed slowly crossing the sea. It took an hour for me to stay on the ship. The wave was so calm so it was fun to enjoy the beautiful view of Bali strait.
After arriving Gilimanuk harbour, I rushed to my motorcycle parking on the dock with other motorcycles and cars.
There were 2 checkpoints that I had to pass. The first check was about driving license and vehicle number certificate conducted by police. The second, my identity card was checked by security there.
I drove the motorbike splitting the streets of the province of Bali again. That was a long road to Denpasar city as the first destination point before heading to Karangasem.
Bali is a beautiful place. I saw left and right of the road lined with unique traditional houses. The hallmark of the temple and the Balinese-patterned gate were very stunning views so they didn't get tired of looking.
I arrived in Denpasar around 4 pm . There I rested to eat and drink coffee in a Javanese food stall. The stall was on the corner on one corner of the street Gatot Subroto Denpasar.
After the power recovered, the journey continued. Of course not as fresh as the morning when I left Jember but it was enough to reach my destination.
Karangasem was still around 70 km from the city of Denpasar. From the direction of the Indigenous Village of Kertalangu, there would be an Ida Bagus Mantra bypass to the left.
The road is big and deserted. On the left was a sea view with some beautiful sights.
The trip was comfortable because there was no traffic at all. Only a few intersections stopped me several times.
The road to Karangasem through a mountain. It was almost similar to Gumitir Banyuwangi. The road was winding up and down.
At 6 past a few minutes I arrived at Amlapura Karangasem. Of course I immediately searched for the hotel closest to the CPNS exam place the next day.
Unfortunately, almost all hotels and inns in Amlapura were full. Even according to the hotel receptionist, many had been booked starting a week before.
Because I needed a place to stay, finally I decided to leave Amlapura to the resort which was located 10 km from Amlapura.
I went to Candidasa Beach Hotel. The hotel I was headed was definitely expensive because it was on the beach. In addition to the beach, the hotel environment was very comfortable, clean and beautiful.
The price for overnight was IDR 400,000. The price of 2012 was expensive. But I didn't care about the price. I had to be able to sleep peacefully that night.
Entering a hotel room I knew why it's so expensive. The room was indeed in accordance with the price. It had large and unique room. There were carved couches typical of Bali where the lights, television and air-conditioning knobs were right next to the bed.
In front of the room there was a large swimming pool that juts into the beach. It was very beautiful scenery. I was very impressed with everything there.
