Lesson Plan Listening How to Express Giving Advice and Warning

Skills : Listening
Aim: By the end of the lesson students will be better able to identify the expression of giving advice and warning.

Teaching Procedure
Pre Activities:
1. Divide students into group of four/five.
2. Ask students to observe some pictures and name them.
3. Check the answer through the class.
4. Teach vocabulary items used in the recording e.g. find the synonym/antonym or match with the closest meaning.
5. Check the answer through the class.
6. Pronounciation practice. Use choral drill to release anxiety. Teacher give an example how to pronounce followed by all students.

Main Activities:
1. Students work in pair. Give them hand out and give them a chance to discuss the new words.
2. Play the recording twice and ask them to get the general information by completing the task.
3. Check the answer through the class.
4. Play the recording again. Ask students to get specific information by completing the task. Replay the recording once again.
5. Check the answer through the class.
6. Ask students to identify the expression of giving advice and warning.
7. Check the answer through the class.

Post Activities:
1. Ask students to go around the classroom by asking their friend's problem and giving advice to them. Tell them to complete the table survey. If students may find some difficulties, help them by giving flash card containing some problem usually faced in daily life.
2. Conclude the lesson.
3. Ask students to make reflection of the learning process..
