Hi Andrew, what happens? You look nervous.
It’s nothing.
Really? Your face tells me that something is going on.
Yes, you are right. Actually I’ve had an embarassing experience.
What is it?
When I was on my way home, I saw an old lady trying to cross the street.
Why didn’t you help her to cross the street?
I did. I helped her to cross the street.
That’s great. So, why do you look so nervous?
Actually, she didn’t want to cross the street. She’s just looking gor her shopping bag.
Really? That must be embarrassing.
Certainly. I was very embarrassed.

Andrew said "I was very embarassed." He said that expression to tell he was embarassed that time.

We can use the following statement to express our embarrassment.
  • I'm so embarrassed.
  • I'm ashamed, sorry.
  • I'm bashful to ....
  • I'm shy to say so.
  • It's embarrasing.
